Mission Malta October 2020-March 2021
Zoé Dutot, was hosted by the association ADITUS, in Malta, from October 2020 to March 2021 as part of session 23 of the Echanges & Partenariats programme on behalf of Migreurop, with the aim of analysing the detention of people in exile in the archipelago, the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the evolution of national migration policy, the challenges of Malta’s geographical position, the management of its SAR zone and its relations with the European Union and its European neighbours (particularly in the context of ad hoc relocations).
During her fieldwork, she drafted a number of thematic fact sheets:
– a country fact sheet on Malta (FR) with a map of places of detention
– a fact sheet on the impact of Covid and the consequences of the health crisis on migration in Malta (FR/EN)
– a fact sheet on relations between Malta and the EU (FR/EN)
– a fact sheet on the management of the Maltese SAR zone (FR/EN)
– a press review on Malta January 2020/January 2021
