While the EU launches Eurosur – the European Border Surveillance System – to further militarize its maritime borders, members of civil society launch WatchTheMed (watchthemed.net) – a “counter-Eurosur” to document and denounce migrants’ deaths and violations of their rights in the Mediterranean.
