The Cotonou Manifesto for Freedom of Movement

From August 3 to 9, 2026, several members of the Migreurop network gathered with more than 70 organizations at the “Migration Village” in Cotonou, Benin, as part of the 2026 World Social Forum. This manifesto for freedom of movement, initiated and drafted by survivors of deadly migration routes and developed collectively, emerged from the rich exchanges that took place during this transnational gathering.
