On 14 January, a peaceful protest by 175 asylum seekers detained in Harmondsworth and Brook House detention centers in England was violently repressed by law enforcement. The detainees were protesting inhumane detention conditions and their removal to France under the “One in, one out” agreement signed during the summer 2025.
