In this booklet, published in early summer 2026, the Commémoraction network gives a voice to the families of those who have died or gone missing along migration routes and highlights the key moments of six years of struggle against the deadly border regime. The brochure also includes a map created by Migreurop showing the locations of the decentralized Commémoraction events on February 6, 2026.

The Cotonou Manifesto for Freedom of Movement

From August 3 to 9, 2026, several members of the Migreurop network gathered with more than 70 organizations at the “Migration Village” in Cotonou, Benin, as part of the 2026 World Social Forum. Following accusations made on 12 December 2025 against the Italian Association for Juridical Studies on Migration (ASGI) by the Italian newspaper Il Giornale and MP Sara Kelany of the Fratelli d’Italia party, ASGI issued a statement reiterating the essential role played by associations in any state governed by the rule of law.
