Commemoraction - A booklet honouring six years of transnational struggle
In this booklet, published in early summer 2026, the Commémoraction network gives a voice to the families of those who have died or gone missing along migration routes and highlights the key moments of six years of struggle against the deadly border regime. The brochure also includes a map created by Migreurop showing the locations of the decentralized Commémoraction events on February 6, 2026.

“In this booklet, we trace some of the key stages in the development of this transnational network. We present several accounts drawn from CommemorAction’s transnational meetings organised over the past six years. We have also compiled a number of statements and testimonies from relatives who have lost loved ones and are now actively involved in the CommemorAction network.
We hope that this collection of texts and the numerous photographs will provide an insight into the CommemorAction process and offer an initial understanding of it. Of course, this small booklet remains fragmentary. It does not in any way claim to be exhaustive; it is merely an overview of the many activities and efforts undertaken to pay tribute to those who have died or gone missing and to take action against the deadly migration regime.
