On December 3, 2025, it will be 12 months or 365 days since Moussa Tchangari, human rights defender and Secretary General (SG) of the association Alternative Espaces Citoyens (AEC), was arbitrarily detained by the Nigerien authorities. AEC Niger is organizing a media campaign and a morning of protest and solidarity in support of the detainee. Preliminary statement by the jury of the 56th session - Palermo (October 2025)

From October 23 to 25, 2025, at the Sabir Festival in Palermo, the 56th edition of the Permanent Peoples’ Tribunal was held, focusing on violations of the rights of migrants in the Maghreb. A new blow to the government’s attacks on freedom of expression!
